Clocks floating around your head, the strains of violins ricocheting off a ride cymbal, Thom Yorke's voice, and the occasional synth bass line. Flying Lotus, center of the unquantized LA school of electronic music, isn't known for doing things the normal way. At the same time, however, he approaches his performances with the kind of laid back bravado as a chilled out hip-hop show, and he's recently made a name for himself as the rapper Captain Murphy. He's performing with frequent collaborator Thundercat and hazy experimentalist Teebs as openers. For one night, the Paradise will be suffused in LA goodness.
